  • How has your week been? Have you done anything interesting or relaxing?
  • Talk about something that has made you smile.
  • Show your partner a photo of a special moment from the past week or year (or just describe an event). Talk about why this photo is special and what the event was.
  • What kind of things do you like to take photos of?
  • Did you do anything special for the first of Advent?
  • What new vocabulary did you learn in the lesson last week? Did you find out anything interesting about your classmates?

  1. The walls aren’t insulated enough, so the house loses heat quickly in winter.
  2. During the pandemic, many people felt isolated at home and missed social contact.
  3. During the winter, it is important to have good insulation in your house to keep the heat inside.
  4. Technology, like video calls, helped reduce the feeling of isolation during the COVID pandemic.
