In class today we looked at:
– Vocabulary review.
– Pronunciation – long ‘e’ (“ee”)
– Common words and phrases used in cleaning and housekeeping.
What is the missing word? (= clean, to avoid disease)
Food must be prepared and stored in hygienic conditions.
It isn’t hygienic to let animals sit on the dining table.
Warm-air hand-driers are more hygienic than hand-towels

We offer complimentary toiletries (=don’t have to pay for them)

What are these objects and what do you do with them?

You use a broom to sweep the floor/the patio/the terrace.
You use a (feather) duster to dust the sides/to remove cobwebs from the ceiling/ to get to places that are hard/difficult to reach
You use a vacuum (“vackyume”) cleaner to vacuum the floor/ do the vacuuming
