Make excuses
Advice(n) – a piece of advice or some advice – uncountable noun
Advise(v) – I advised her to apply for the job.
Enter (v) – to go in. Entrance (n) is the way into a place (opp. Exit)
Pick up – pick something off the ground or it picked me up to receive an encouraging text from her (made me feel better

Write a short piece on one of these subjects (or one of your own if you want). It should be about one page in length (300 words). Get it to as soon as you can so I can correct it, or by Wednesday at the latest.
Don’t forget that we will have the phrasal verb/idiom kahoot on Monday.

Class 6
Run down – when you’re low in energy and not feeling well as a result
Get back into – resume a previous activity – “I’m trying to get back into yoga again. I’ve been injured for a while now.”
Get it out of the way – finish a task first that you don’t want to do
Figure out – deduce from evidence
Come across – find by accident
Run into – meet by accident
Tell the difference – distinguish between different objects that are similar
make up with sb – become friends with someone again (after an argument)
lose my temper – get angry
