I’ve changed the settings for posting to the blog. You will still have to enter your name and email address but you don’t have to sign up to WordPress. Can you try to respond to one of the mails and see if it works. Thanks a lot.

Class 5:
– A lot more work on understanding when to use the present simple and when to use the present continuous needed to be done. We started with the Kahoot we did last week, and followed that with group work identifying what people were ‘doing’ in a populated picture I projected onto the board.
– Much of the class was spent in this ‘free practice’ activity. For the last part of the class I quickly introduced the past simple and continuous tenses to show the similarities and the differences to the present versions.

I’ve decided not to attach the notes from last night’s class as not much was taken down. I will add Thursday’s notes to the same document and post that after class instead.

The homework is all the grammar exercises on page 145 of the book on the Past Simple and the Past Continuous.
