Class 4

Thank you all very much for your hard work tonight. It was an intensive grammar class on a difficult and sometimes confusing subject. You should all be very proud of yourselves.

This evening we…

– Discussed how, in general, state verbs don’t take ‘ing’ form in the present continuous, and talked briefly about some of the exceptions.
– Did a ‘Find Someone Who’ mingle activity practicing asking and answering questions in present simple or continuous tenses.
– Finished with a long and arduous Kahoot! about when to use either tense. If it didn’t go well for you then please practice some more over the weekend.

Here are the notes from the class – Class 4

Homework:

As I said at the end of class, I’d like you to write an email to a friend, covering the points mentioned in 1D on page 15 of the book. Here is a copy of the assignment – writing homework Sept 16.

Please ask me questions or comment on the class. I’d love to get some feedback. You can comment under every post.

Have a great weekend.
