Class 4

Class 4:
We turned our attention to pronunciation tonight, and went back to basics – the pronunciation of the alphabet. We practiced spelling our names and a list of common household items.

After that we looked at how we ask for and give the time in English, especially about the different ways to ask for the time – how certain ways are more polite than others. We practiced giving the time and then we returned to our present simple revision and practice by talking about the different times of the day we performed common actions (such as when we ‘get up’ and ‘brush our teeth’.

We concluded by sharing when our classmates usually accomplished these everyday activities – which gave us another opportunity to practice using the 3rd person ‘s’ in the present simple tense.

Homework:

The homework for this week is a writing assignment. I’d like you to write a form like on page 27 of the book (I’ve included a link to the page in case you haven’t bought the book yet). This should be no less than 50 words. Don’t copy the sentences as they appear on the page, come up with your own ideas, please. Best of luck!
