There are many great resources available to assist you in your language learning. I will post as many as possible for you on this page.

PRESENTATIONS

TED is a great place to start with hundreds of speakers on a wide range of topics you are sure to find something of interest. You will also find almost all talks have subtitles! Here’s one to get you started…

Podcasts are another great way to improve your vocabulary and, of course, your listening ability. The great thing about podcasts is that there are such a wide range available for all interests under the sun. Here are a selection from the FT’s management columnist, Lucy Kellaway, Kellaway pokes fun at management fads and jargon, and celebrates the ups and downs of office life.

BOOKS!

Here is a link to a great resource– The Oxford University Press graded readers. Theses books are ‘graded’ or adjusted to your level so that you are challenged but not out of your depth.

RADIO

Don’t forget the radio! Excellent for listening (and therefore also speaking skills) and vocabulary. I would very much recommend TuneIn online. You will easily find numerous English language stations from around the world on many topics. There is also the BBC Radio iPlayer with access to stations such as the BBC World Service.
