CLASS TOPIC: minor topic: UNFULFILLED EXPERIENCES (‘I’ve never seen Star Wars’) major topic: GLOBAL PROBLEMS – NEWS VOCABULARY

In our last class we discussed our ‘bucket lists’ and ambitious. To begin our next class we will start our discussion under the topic ‘I’ve never seen Star Wars’. Please think of an experience you have not yet had, one which you believe everyone else has, for example ‘I’ve never seen Star Wars’. It may be a certain book, a particular meal, etc, etc. This will for the basis of our conversation. Why haven’t you experienced this? Would you or do you might think try it in the future?

CLASS AGENDA: Welcome, explain course aims and goals and begin on topic of APPEARANCE

  • It was great to meet everyone today. We began by discussing the aims and goals of the course– improving your confidence when speaking English and gaining a wider vocabulary. We then moved on to our first real topic area; ‘physical appearance’. During our next lesson we shall discuss ‘character‘ and ‘relationships‘ as well as any new vocabulary you might have learnt (see homework!). We may have time for something from the news if the week has provided something of interest…
