Dare to Speak English B1 – Lesson 7

The clocks go back in October. In March they go forward to summertime.

I’ve got such a craving for some chocolate but I’m supposed to be cutting down/back on the amount of sugar I eat.

fun or funny?

fun = enjoyable/pleasurable

funny = makes you laugh

funny = strange, surprising or puzzling

  • Studying English on a Thursday is really a lot of fun.
  • The milk had a funny taste so I threw it away.
  • Our trip to Disneyworld was fun. The kids loved it.
  • I’m afraid I don’t find that comment particularly funny.
  • The car is making a funny noise again. I think I need to get it checked.
  • Tell me a funny joke. I need to laugh.
  • You should have come to the party. It was really fun!
