Lesson 7<\/p>\n
In our seventh lesson we discussed Compensation Culture. We spoke about the rising number of court cases where one party sues another party. We read an article about a famous court case, and discussed whether the case had merit, or it was a waste of time. We then read further details about the case, and discussed whether these new facts changed our opinion of the case. We finished by discussing a series of hypothetical scenarios, and had to decide whether they were worthy of compensation claims or not.<\/p>\n
Lesson 6<\/p>\n
In our sixth lesson we spoke about forgiveness. We read a report of a court case and discussed the possible reasons why a victim chose to forgive his attackers. We also looked at some common expressions related to forgiveness. Finally, we discussed a series of different scenarios and whether we would be able to forgive people in those situations.<\/p>\n
Lesson 5<\/p>\n
In our fifth lesson our topic was Holidays and Travel. We discussed about our most recent holiday, and our ‘dream’ holiday destination. We discussed both good and bad holiday experiences, as well as our expectations of holidays. You were all asked your thoughts on various means of travel.<\/p>\n
Lesson 4<\/p>\n
The topic for our fourth lesson was Fashion. We discussed how fashion has changed through the years, who influences fashion, our attitudes to fashion, and the future of fashion.<\/p>\n
Lesson 3<\/p>\n
The topic for our third lesson was Food and Cooking. We spoke about our attitudes to cooking, different foods from around the world, and different ways to cook.<\/p>\n

In our second lesson our topic was Shopping and Consumer Habits.<\/p>\n
We spoke about our attitude to shopping and our shopping habits.\u00a0 We spoke about the influence of advertising. whether we prefer to shop online or in a physical store, and how our shopping habits have changed with age.<\/p>\n

Lesson 1<\/p>\n
In our first lesson our topic was Movies, Books and other forms of entertainment.<\/p>\n
We discussed different genres, compared movie versions to book versions of the same story, and explained our favourite films and books and why they were our favourites. We also spoke about plays and musicals.<\/p>\n
